CUPE Local 2087 has launched its official pages on Facebook, Twitter and its own website, as part of a comprehensive strategy that seeks to build a friendlier, more transparent and more productive relationship with its members, labour in general, and the communities our members work and live in.

CUPE Local 2087’s pages on Facebook, Twitter, and its website will allow members to browse through the union’s news and activities, to build greater awareness on key labour issues and to make it possible for members to communicate directly with the union at any time.

It is hoped that the interactive potential of social media, will improve communication member to member, and the members and the Executive. Through social networking CUPE Local 2087 hopes to expand its participation and support of labour across all sectors both public and private.

CUPE Local 2087 will also be using its online social media presence to help publicize its activities on behalf of its members, labour at large, and the communities our members live and work in, serving to help garner more participation in, and support for, these activities.
